Day 56 - 61: No pictures
I took a hiatus from the camera. During this time I was gearing up for the thrift sale with my neighbors, and enjoying my last days of unemployment.

Day 54: Memorial Day
Today I took the kids to Jessica's parents' house for a short visit. Pete was out on the jet ski with his grandson, and when he came back in he offered to take Julia or Blake. Julia jumped at the chance while Blake was more timid. However, as soon as Julia got back he was willing to go. Little turkey!

Day 44: and then there was one ...
Check out the price of gas today ... gosh, this is NUTS!
Today is a virtual first for me ... I am down to one child until Sunday. It is a very weird thing for me. Blake and Julia are gone camping with my parents! To memorialize this very odd occasion for myself, here are a couple of photos that I am sure I will look back on one day and laugh. :)
BTW, I cried before I went to bed ... just a little bit ... out of missing them. They can drive me crazy, but I miss them a lot, too.

Day 42: Busy Day
Look who is now pulling up!! Little man is on his way to walking already ...
Today was Blake's End of School Carnival. Blake had a firetruck painted on the back of his hand, and Julia had hearts painted on her cheeks. There was a bouncing castle, lots of cute little games, and food. We made sure to get a picture of Blake with his teacher. It sounds like there maybe busing for Julia next year, so I'm now planning to enroll Julia as well. She wouldn't go 4 days a week, but I think the social interaction would be great for her, plus the head start in learning school routines never hurt anyone. :)

Day 41: Drawings on the Sidewalk
My kids drew on the front sidewalk ... I couldn't grab the camera fast enough and they were moving on to the backyard ... so here is the work ... and then photos from their work in the backyard when they were just starting. After a very warm (80+ degrees) day yesterday, there was a high temperature of less than 70 degrees today. Brrr, cold in comparison!

Day 34: Full bloom
I took this photo as the sun was starting to go down ... you may be able to tell that the light is coming from the left, and that part way down the tree isn't being hit ... the neighbor's garage roof is to the left. :)The petals are starting to shower down and be strewn among the grass. You would be able to see it all except that the lawn was just mowed today (first mow of the season!!).
I LOVE lilacs!! There is a bush in each corner of the back yard ... I love it! I now have a vase in my kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom of lilacs. *SIGH of tranquility ... for a few seconds anyway*

Day 32: First thing I see ...
Day 31: Night, Night!
I snuck into Chase's room really late and snapped a couple of pictures of him sleeping. He usually sleeps on his belly now. I'm putting this up a few days late, but I think a big reason I took these pictures was that it was nearing midnight and I hadn't taken any pictures yet, hee hee!! At least I'm honest. LOL!

Day 29: photos to be added
I took several photos at my parents' house tonight using my mom's camera, so I will need to add some of those. Chase loved seeing Katie -- "my" Cocker Spaniel which is really my mom's dog. We got her in 1996. Chase is the first child to seem to LIKE her. Julia has never liked her. I have my own theories on why, but anyway ... I'll have to share those. I also got pictures of the kids with my parents. Looking back I don't have all that many pictures of the kids at my parents house with my parents IN the pictures. So, I wanted to have some of those. After all, what is a trip to Grandma and Grandpa's house without THEM! :)

Day 27: my 3 kids
This is another photo from 4/30 because I never took out my camera on the 1st of May. Sorry! But, I love this photo. :)
Here is a layout I created using this photo! I used the awesome free monthly kit created by the design team at www.gottapixel.net. For whatever reason, it is a little pixelated ... you can see a better version in my gallery at GP, plus all the credits for the pieces used are there too if you're curious! :)
