Day 26: Brothers

Blake asked me to take this picture of him hugging Chase. Isn't he handsome? I love his eyes and eyelashes.

Day 25: Dancing Queen

This photo doesn't do Julia justice ... she was wiggling her booty left and right, and even made pointer fingers and did dancing around with those in the air. It was hilarious, and too, too, cute. Unfortunately, her eyes were closed in this other great shot:

I am noticing too that they were blurry or grainy or something ... I wonder if the setting was wrong. Probably was set to portrait or something! :(

Day 24: pictures from April 27th

Didn't take pictures today either, so here's some more from yesterday.
Funny how quickly your mood can change. Mmmm, food ....

Day 23: Camping in the Living Room

They were both so tired they fell asleep on the couch. I can't carry Blake upstairs by myself anymore (he's 50 pounds!!) so I just let them both sleep on the couch. They managed to sleep all night, too!

Day 22: fancy effects

Took this picture and at first I made it so Chase was in color and the rest was black and white, but that wasn't enough ... so then I played with Virtual Photographer and used this filter instead. I really like this Character filter. :)

Day 17: Spring Awakens & a trip to Action City

This is the first time I've seen blooms on these bushes to my knowledge. My parents bought this house last year after these blooms had died, I think.

We also went to Action City with the kids today. The kids had a good time. We played Skee ball (or whatever it's called), air hockey, a water pistol game where you have to race to the top ... lots of fun little games. I think Blake's favorite part was probably the bumper cars which he is now big enough to drive on his own! (by 1.5 inches!) WOW!

This was the best I could get ... my camera's batteries were basically dead, so the quality was horrible. I had to doctor his eyes even after the red-eye tool because they were still red. :(

Chase was such a dude in his one-piece outfit. :) He was such a good boy and rarely complained. :) AND, he's 7 months old today!!!!! (watercolor effect added because the picture was blurry due to dying batteries)

Day 16: Outside Play

Chase checking out the grass. He kept trying to eat it, but it tickled his nose in the process. He'd wrinkle up his face, shake it and move his hand away ... it was so funny and cute.

Blake swinging ... he's grown so much that I had to move the chain up for him so he could move his legs to swing himself!

Julia swinging away

You wouldn't know it by this picture, but Chase was really enjoying himself. He always grinned after mommy put the camera down, lol.

Day 15: Sleeping Beauty (Julia)

Look at this great close-up I got of Julia! She fell asleep on the love seat. Gosh, how I love warm days when the kids can run around outside and play. They always go to sleep much easier that way! Hee hee!

Day 14: Poor Chase ;)

My poor Chase ... see what I did to him today?? Hee hee!!

Day 13: At the Park

I had to go to an appointment in E.C. today, and afterwards it was nearly time for Blake to be done with school so I stopped and picked him up. We went and picked up some food and then headed to the park where I had a blast snapping pictures. Chase rode in the swings at the park for the first time. He actually was in a swing outside for the first time YESTERDAY, but I didn't dare leave him outside while I went in to grab the camera as practically the whole neighborhood was playing in our yard and I didn't trust them. :) So, I captured them today instead!

(BTW, Blake was not interested in being photographed today ... it was not for my lack of trying.)

Day 12: no pics

No pictures today. I did spend a bunch of time outside with the kids, but I didn't bring the camera outside with me, and I didn't dare leave Chase in his swing alone while I went in to get it. So, no pictures for today, either. :(

Day 11: Dairy Queen

H and I got some amazing shots at the DQ here in town today. None of these have been altered from their original coloring.

Day 10: Chase, again :)

Well, I did accomplish what I'd set out too ... I got Chase's feet! He sure looks like a lump, though, doesn't he?? :) What a chubs! His belly is sticking out under his shirt ... see that?
He is doing really well at sitting on his own though.

Day 9: Getting Teeth!

Not sure if you can see it. Maybe if you click on it you can. These are Chase's first TWO teeth coming in at the same time! :)

I created this layout based on this photograph:

Day 8

Yeah, I didn't take any pictures today. I just wasn't in the mood to take pictures. The kids were driving me up the wall. My house was a disaster ... I just wasn't up to it. Already not meeting my goal. :(

However, I guess I'm doing all right since I've shared more than one picture most days! :)

Here is my contribution for today:

Day 6: New Stuff

I got my daughter to wear braids -- this is something pretty new!!!!

Blake trying out the basketball hoop. The kids got this a while ago but I intended to trade it in for the bigger version. I just decided to set it up because it's something for them to do and it's not too tall for Julia or Chase, that's for sure!

And here is today's picture of Chase with his new toy. He didn't get an Easter basket so mommy was feeling guilty. :) OH!! And I have to throw one of Chase saying his infamous "ooh-ooh" sounds!

Day 5: Nemo bathroom

I had my camera sitting out today, but just wasn't in a real picture taking mood. So, at just before midnight I ran up and took pictures of the stickers on the wall in the kids' bathroom. The bathroom is almost completely finished now. It just needs some trim on the window. There will be a valance and a fabric shower curtain added at some point, but for me just the trim will make it more complete, even. (I'll admit I can't wait to see it all done. Those kids sure are spoiled by their grandma and grandpa!)

We're having a little trouble keeping the stickers sticking to the wall -- likely because of the texturing. So, I run my fingers on them to keep them sticking whenever I'm up there. I suppose I could try some glue, but I don't want it to show through and these are transparent stickers.

Anyway, aren't these kids spoiled?? :)

Day 4: Happy Easter!

These pictures aren't numbered at all as being Day Four, but here are a whole slew of pictures from Easter!

Yes, this fuzzy coat/shirt makes me look really chubby ... but I am chubby, too ... just not THAT chubby. :)

Day 3: Easter Egg Hunt @ Micon

Bright and early on Saturday morning, Grandma and I met at Micon with the kids for their second annual Easter Egg Hunt! It was a chilly day, and we were a bit worried because there had been a terrible line outside the previous year, but this year everyone stayed toasty warm inside. It was great! The bunny's costume wasn't as good this year, but that sure didn't stop Julia! She was super excited and kept going over to the Easter Bunny, smiling, waving, jumping up and down ... oh, and walking up behind him and saying, "Peek a Boo!" LOL!!!

Here are the kids in the PreK room, with their 3 eggs each:
